The Triton Transfer Hub has some events and programs you can expect each and every year as well as a mix of workshops and events geared just for transfers year round!
National Transfer Student Week
Our Fall cornerstone event is National Transfer Student Week! The National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students organizes NTSW annually on every third week of October to celebrate transfer students and those that support them through their academic journey (www.nists.org/national-transfer-student-week). Each year, the Transfer Hub and campus partners host events celebrating our transfer students and getting them connected to resources around campus, like resume workshops and a resource fair.
Storyteller Scholarship Competition
Our Winter cornerstone event is our Storyteller Scholarship Competition. Each Winter, students can enter an art piece that depicts their transfer experience, including paintings, poetry, and sculpting. Accompany your artwork with a written piece explaining how your artwork represents your transfer journey for a chance at a scholarship! Winners will also have their artpiece displayed in the Transfer Hub's gallery, and all submissions with be memorialized in the Transfer Hub's virtual gallery.
Transfer Grad Celebration
Each Spring, the Transfer Hub and the Colleges host a celebration ceremony for our graduating transfer students! Transfer students from the graduating class can reflect on their transfer journey, reconnect with friends, and celebrate their achievements as Triton Transfers!
