There are lots of different ways to get involved on campus! From student organizations to internships, UCSD hosts many different ways to build your resume and enhance your skillset. Check out some of the opportunities available below, and feel free to reach out to the transfer hub's peer coaches or research & involvement coordinator with any questions!

Looking for guidance on how to strengthen your resume? Need someone to review internship application materials? There's plenty of resources on campus that are ready to support you!

Career Center

Meet with Career Peer advisors to discuss your resume/application material and get beneficial insights! There are also professional staff members available by appointment for any specialized questions you may have.

Research & Involvement Coordinator

The transfer hub's research & involvement coordinator, Elizabeth, is happy to answer any questions about getting involved as a transfer student, from joining organizations to reviewing internship application materials.

Transfer Peer Coach

Your transfer peer coaches are ready to assist with any involvement questions you have. Many of our peer coaches are in student organizations or internships and can draw on their experiences to help you!

Pre-Med Resources

Career Center 

Wanting to understand the intricacies of Pre-Med in a simplified form? Look no further than at the Career Center which showcases not only the academic requirements, but also extracurricular suggestions to help prepare for medical school. As you go along your medical journey, have the Career Center on standby to help navigate your resource hunt.  

Undergraduate Research Hub 

The URH helps students navigate the different research programs that get students connected to research, mentorship, and scholarship opportunities. The majority of these organizations are funded via quarterly stipends. Additionally, you can also explore the summer program options to begin earlier than the start of the academic year.  

HealthBeat 

Apply to become a member of Health Beat. This will keep you updated with events/workshops happening related to the medical journey (i.e. personal statement workshop, interview prep, etc.). Additionally, it offers free 1-on-1 mentorship from current medical students, and work along faculty members involved in the medical process.

Career Center

Looking for guidance on preparing for law school? Look no further than the career center! With professional staff ready to help you navigate the LSAT and application process to resources for gaining experience, the career center is a great place to go along your pre-law journey!

Student Legal Resources

Outside of assisting students with legal questions, Student Legal Services offers workshops to explain different areas of the law. They also have mentoring hours where students can meet with a Student Legal Services attorney to learn more about navigating the legal field.
