Takuya Kitamura

Hi y'all, I am Takuya Kitamura, majoring in Psychology BS. with specialization in Cognitive Psychology. I am originally from Japan, so transferring is not my first drastic change of life environments, and I wish I could support you all through the process of transitioning. As my main academic highlight, I am part of the Psychology Honors Program, which is a research-focused two-year program that allows you to write a senior honors thesis with a professor of your choice. I'm currently part of Dr. Pilegard's (Educational Psychology) and Dr. Wixted's (Cognitive Psychology) lab, and I have a lot of struggles and stories I can tell you all about how I ended up here, so if you are curious, feel free to ask me about it:). Outside of academia, I hang out with friends quite often, hitting the gym, and playing sports as table tennis, pickleball, climbing, etc. I also like reading books and manga in Japanese, so I love anime.
